Maximise Usable Racking Space
Narrow aisle racking and very narrow aisle racking (VNA) can offer some of the same flexibility as wide aisle racking. However, by reducing aisle width and storing pallets to a greater height, storage density is increased. It still allows access to individual pallets, whilst retaining full system adjustability. Aisles can be as narrow as 1.8 metres.
Narrow aisle racking requires specialist fork-trucks. However, the higher storage densities make it a cost-effective investment, offset by the enhanced access and space utilisation. Specialist VNA trucks, often featuring a man-up function, are guided either by wires embedded in the floor or guidance rails at ground level. This guidance enables good speed in aisles, though these trucks primarily operate in aisles. The man-up function can speed up high-level picking, including individual case picks.
Bendi or Flexi-trucks can also be used with narrow aisle pallet racking, with aisles as narrow as 1.9 metres. However, these trucks are not guided, making them slower and reducing their height capability. They offer flexibility as both yard and in-rack trucks.

Aerosol and Explosives Cages
NSI can design and install all types of aerosol storage cages to satisfy Insurance Company and Building Control/Fire Officer requirements.
Racking Inspections
Racking Inspections are integral for rack safety. They are undertaken by our SARI qualified inspector to maintain H&S standards.
