NSI Projects is proud to announce the successful completion of a solar photovoltaic (PV) installation project at Blockleys Brickworks in Telford. This milestone marks a significant step forward for the site in harnessing renewable energy and driving sustainability.
The decision to install solar PV systems at Blockleys stemmed from a comprehensive review of electricity consumption data, which highlighted substantial energy usage on-site. Recognising the potential for cost savings and environmental benefits, NSI Projects embarked on a mission to deliver a tailored solar solution that would significantly contribute to the site’s energy needs while whilst reducing its carbon footprint.
Following a technical site survey, NSI Projects identified roof space suitable for solar PV installation. A subsequent structural survey confirmed the roof’s capacity to accommodate the additional loading imposed by the proposed system, ensuring both safety and functionality.
NSI provided a turnkey solar solution, meticulously engineered to meet the specific requirements of Blockleys Brickworks. With a focus on maximising on-site generation, the generated solar power will be utilised exclusively within the facility, contributing to operational efficiency and sustainability goals. This 632 kW installation included 1264 x 500 Longi Solar Panels, 490kW of Solis Inverters and K2 Systems GmbH mountings.
Blockleys will save over 130 tonnes of carbon emissions each year which is equal to planting more than 6000 mature trees.
The successful implementation of the solar PV system at Blockleys Brickworks represents a significant milestone in NSI Projects’ ongoing mission to empower sustainability and renewable energy adoption.
