Aerosol and Explosives Cage

Aerosol Storage and Explosives Cages

We will often be asked to liaise directly with our client’s insurers to ensure that the aerosol cage or explosives cage is designed in the most cost-efficient manner. For example:

  • If in-rack storage is required, there are a number of mesh options that may be acceptable, some more economical than others.
  • The positioning of the storage cage to maximise the volume but minimise the amount of perimeter mesh used in the cage can also result in a more economical design.
  • Maximising the support that can be gained by using existing pallet racking rather than new independently supported full-height mesh walls can keep costs down.

NSI Can Supply a Turnkey Solution

We can undertake the CAD design, procurement, installation and deal with the complex regulatory issues for you.

The design of the means of escape and gates and doors is also critical. NSI’s experience in building control compliance again lends itself well to designing great aerosol and explosives cages for our customers.

For best effect, you really need to get us involved in the early days of design, and we’ll take a holistic view of your total storage facility to ensure the aerosol or explosives cage fits seamlessly with the rest of the operation.

Shuttle racking system in a large warehouse

Shuttle Racking System

For clients for whom ultra-high density pallet storage is important, a shuttle racking system can be the answer. The concept is based around the fact that the forklift never enters the racking, individual pallet movements being conducted on intelligent RF guided shuttles that operate on rails millimetres below each pallet.

Pallet Live and Push Back Racking

Pallet live racking and push back racking are commonly chosen warehouse storage solutions to maximise space in the warehouse flow process.

Narrow-aisle racking in multiple sections in a warehouse

Narrow Aisle Racking

Narrow aisle racking and very narrow aisle racking (VNA) can offer some of the same flexibility as wide aisle racking.

Multiple mobile racking units in a warehouse

Mobile Racking

Individual runs of the rack are installed onto heavy-duty mobile racking bases with electric motors running on tracks embedded in the warehouse floor.

Drive in racking for fort lift trucks

Drive-in Racking

Drive-in racking provides a highly space-efficient solution to the storage and throughput of palletised goods at a relatively low price per pallet stored.

Outdoor cantilever racking storing wood

Cantilever Racking

Cantilever Racking is generally designed to maximise storage capacity, accessibility and presentation of long or irregular items.

Wide-aisle pallet racking with a fort lift storing goods

Wide Aisle Pallet Racking

Wide aisle racking is the most commonly used system for storing palletised unit loads. Fast throughput and ease of unloading/loading, make wide aisle racking extremely popular.
