New Warehouse Fit-Out – K&N Filters
NSI Projects were called in to design a mezzanine platform for K&N Filter’s new UK warehouse in Runcorn.
K&N Filters are the world’s leading manufacturers of washable performance air filters and air intake systems. They are a world class filtration company selling their air filters, oil filters, and air intakes in over 30 countries and sell over 5,000 products designed for cars, trucks, motorcycles, engines, and industrial applications.
The mezzanine floor was to adjoin existing office accommodation at first floor level, with the new platform being used for the NSI Euro shelving picking system.
The main warehouse area holds countless thousands of air filters housed in an NSI Pallet store racking system built to K&N Filter’s requirements, all beam levels were clad in purpose made pine decking to certificated loadings, and the pallet racking frames and rear of the racks were clad in mesh to form binning storage levels for the air filters.
The walkway barriers at ground floor were specifically requested to match the hand rail detail of the mezzanine floor, and packing stations were supplied from NSI Catalogue for the despatch of goods to customers.
The mezzanine floor and all storage goods were individually designed and built in approximately one month, allowing K&N Filters to move their stock from their existing location to the new factory unit in record time.
Our thanks to K&N FILTERS, and Mr Ted Green, Site Services Manager – “Performed brilliantly to an extremely short timescale – would recommend to anyone”.
