NSI put safety considerations at the forefront of the way we run our projects. Of course our aim is to deliver your project on budget and on time, but of absolutely equal importance is that it should be delivered with no injuries or health and safety incidents. We are fully conversant with the CDM Regulations of April 2015 which place extensive new legal obligations on us as a contractor, but also new and far reaching responsibilities on you as the end client.
Unfortunately we know that many end clients are unaware of the obligations that cover every installed project, not just those notifiable to the HSE. Find out more about the CDM April 2015 regulations here. Below are just some of our commitments to make this so much more than mere words on a page.
We are audited by the SEMA Distributor Group for our processes and document control, we are one of the top 12 audited in the country. We are also audited and accepted by Construction Line and the Safe Contractor Scheme We have trained and qualified one of the 90 or so fully qualified SARI rack inspectors in the country.
We conduct fully documented rack safety inspections and mezzanine inspections (one of only three companies in the UK to be recommended for this by DHL). We are audited periodically by SEMA as to the standard of our output.
In all other than the simplest installations on familiar sites, all projects will be pre-visited by your dedicated Project Manager to consider mitigation of all risks, and the findings are reflected in the full pack of pre-commencement documentation you will receive. All our structural designs or reconfigurations of existing equipment are underwritten by manufacturers’ technical department or structural engineers (this is part of the SDG Audit). We only use SEIRs qualified labour teams. We will insist on supplying all appropriate plant to install. For example, when building pallet racking we insist on access from scissor lifts in every project unless absolutely impracticable.
We believe we are one of the premier experts in designing highly effective systems of means of escape etc. through our Building Control Expertise. We are never complacent, but we are pleased to say that our track record is exemplary and that we have won Gold Awards from major blue-chip companies with some of the most stringent standards on documentation and the very fact that we deal frequently with the list of blue-chip clients you will find elsewhere on this website demonstrates that we are highly rated. All our customers get this standard, regardless of size, it is part of what NSI Projects does. Supply of Health and Safety Equipment In our NSI Catalogue division, you will find a huge range of safety equipment, from signage, PPE (personal protective equipment), to guards and screens.
