How Do Mobile Storage Systems Save Space?
Mobile storage systems combine versatility and accessibility, with excellent utilisation of vertical space and floor area. Traditional storage systems are static and require extra floor space for separate aisles to access all of the shelves. By eliminating the need for multiple access aisles, mobile storage systems are highly effective in saving space.
Only a single aisle is required at a time so there is no need for multiple access aisles. Aisles are simply created according to the location of the files required by moving the shelves apart.
Replacing Your Current Storage System
Minimum friction tracks are laid simply and quickly onto your existing floor, to take you existing shelving, cupboards or filing cabinets, or we can supply a new shelving system. Once the system is in place shelves are moved by either ultra-low friction manual wheels, electric or automatic electronic controls. The new system will also be more secure, as the shelving can be closed or locked to restrict access to sensitive documents.

- Mobile base depth is 100mm nominally.
- All bays can be fully clad.
- 1850mm high shelving has 6 usable shelf levels and requires a clearance height of 2000mm.
- 2150mm high shelving has 7 usable shelf levels and needs 2300mm clear headroom.
- All bays offer 275mm clear between shelves.
- All shelves are standard Stormor heavy-duty open shelves, pierced to accept dividers.
- Mobile bases available as back-to-back. Static bases available as singles.
- Maximum weight loading 3000kg per mobile base, 500kg per bay based on Uniformly Distributed Load.
